Is looking back to the past essential?

“There’s nothing that we gain thinking about the past, hence forget it, live today and for the future”, if that is what somebody would like to preach, I bet you would think of your education and past experiences also. Isn’t that a past, won’t you get a great job that you deserve by selling yourself to the interviewing organization. Everyone has a past, good or bad, but it would be genuine and needs to be respected as is. I personally admire those who have faced the situations and how it makes a person learn take steps /a great leap, going forward. To always think past is a feat of lazy guys. But to take the learning and implement that knowledge when required during a similar situation is exemplary. I can take the fact that one should live for today and for the future, yet should not forget the past completely that you don’t even remember who taught you, who fought for our independence and who had helped you to become what you are today! It is dexterous to give credit to the past and because of which we are living present and a roadmap to build the future.
